A. The process can take between 3 – 12 weeks depending on flower drying times, how many pieces you want, hallmarking and casting lead times. If it is time urgent let me know and I will see what I can do for you.

-
A. You can pop the flowers with freshly cut ends in water and store them in the fridge, this will preserve them for a little bit until you can get them in the post to me.
-
A. At the moment I can’t take flowers from overseas, but you could take some silica gel with you and some air tight containers to put a few of your favourite flowers in to preserve them. Then bring the flowers back with you and post them to me on your return.

A deposit is taken for bookings in advance to ensure that you have got a spot for the flowers to be dried, please get in touch for last minute flower preservations, as my diary varies from week to week. You will pay half of the balance when the flowers arrive and the remaining half is paid before the flowers are posted out.

A. I have had other clients that have bought the flower preservation as a gift or as a surprise after the event, it is a really lovely and meaningful gift.
You can either have a gift voucher that you give before the big day, for example if work have had a collection, or you can work with the bridal party so that they know about the gift and take charge of the flowers at the end of the day and send them to me, so they don’t have to worry.
But what if it is a surprise??? Then you will be taking flowers in secrete without the bride knowing…this requires a little bit of cunning, I won’t say anything if you don’t. You only need a few flowers to make a necklace. Please feel free to get in touch if you want to know more.

Yes, I’m able to preserve most fresh flowers, please contact me to ask if you have something specific in mind. Only plants that fall into the succulent and sedum family aren’t suitable to dry, as they can live through droughts and they are very reluctant to the process.
-
A. Once the flowers have been dried, they will last for a very long time. If kept out of direct sunlight the flowers will keep their vibrant colours for a long time too.
-
A. Some flowers have been bred to be a certain colour and sometimes they surprisingly they reveal themselves as their parent colour. Occasionally pinks and purples can change colour too. However, you will be shown the flowers before they are used and if you are unhappy with certain petals, we can choose not to use them.
-
A. No, the flowers are inside the glass, either tightly packed to display them or allowing the petals to tumble around so that the petals can be seen differently each time they are worn.
-
A. The tops are sealed onto the glass. The only air is the small amount inside the glass sphere.
-
A. No air is removed from the glass, else a vacuum would be created and squash the petals, so we allow the air to remain.
-
A. As all jewellery, it should be the last thing on and the first thing off to avoid damaging the jewellery piece. However they are very robust but please remove before bathing/swimming and going to bed at night, as they are a mixed media piece with precious metals.
-
A. The silver or gold should be cleaned with a jewellery cleaning cloth. The glass can be cleaned with a damp smooth cloth or kitchen paper.
-
A. The glass is created the same way as test-tubes are and because of it shape, it makes it structurally very strong. Please collect all the contents, chain and top, contact me and I will arrange to fix your piece for you.
